Seasonal Staffing Overview

Spring & Summer (May - August)

Camp Evergreen hires about 15 seasonal staff for the four month, May-August camp season.

May and June are busy months, planning for the summer season and hosting all kinds of Guest Groups. You'll be leading canoeing, climbing wall or trail rides, washing dishes and cleaning bathrooms, and taking care of our Guest Groups. On Sunday and Wednesday nights, we get together as staff to study the Bible and pray and to have sweet times together.

Most seasonal staff who work the four month term play a leadership role during summer camp in July and August (e.g., Assistant Program Director; Assistant Cook; Assistant Maintenance; Assistant Wrangler; Staff and Support Staff Team Leaders; and AIM, Chapel and out-trip coordinators). You might also be a cabin leader or a member of the support staff.

Summer Only

Summer staff include cabin leaders, support staff, wranglers and barn staff and more! It's a crazy, unforgettable seven weeks of camp + one week of staff training.

Fall (September 1 - October 31)

Camp Evergreen's fall staff is made up of 10 - 15 people. Fall staff host guest groups, lead activities, help in the kitchen and on maintenance and custodial. It's a busy season and lots of fun too! On Sunday and Wednesday nights, we get together as staff to study the Bible and pray and to have sweet times together (Deja vu? That's because it's part of the spring plan too).

Winter (November 1 - April 30)

Winter's a quieter season for Guest Groups - starting in 2009, our three to five winter staff will each be paired up with a Management Team member and given the opportunity to create! Want to update our canoeing program? Do you have a dream for the climbing wall? A vision for chapel? Apply to work with Courtney (Program) or Jay (Guest Groups). Want to learn how to roof a shed, build a skating rink or be mechanical? Work with Dave (Site Manager). Are horses your thing? Join Jon at the barn.

Winter staff also host Guest Groups, lead activities, run Rise 'n Shine (our Junior High retreat) and Family Meltdown (our winter Family Camp), and may participate in Camp Days tours.
