About Camp Evergreen

1. Where is the camp located, and how do I get there?

3. How big is your camp?

The camp has 480 acres of property. We have enough accommodation for 160 people. Back To Top.

4. How long have you been in operation?

5. Is this a year-round camp?

Our summer camps operate from the end of June to the beginning of September. We do, however, offer year-round rental packages. Guests are welcome to rent camp facilities during fall, winter and spring. Click here to read more about rental packages. Back To Top.

6. What kind of wildlife is around the camp?

The area surrounding Camp Evergreen is used by a wide variety of animals. Moose, elk, white tail deer, wolves, black and grizzly bears, lynxes and foxes are all known the frequent the region. Smaller animals such as squirrels, beavers, muskrats, gophers, ducks, geese, eagles, hawks and other small birds can also be seen. It is also home to a flourishing mosquito population. Back To Top.

8. Is there a pool?

No, we don't have a pool. But we like to swim in the nearby Fallen Timber Creek, so if you're coming to camp, don't forget to bring your swimsuit or swimming trunks! Back To Top.

9. What's in your tuck shop?

We have candy, chips, chocolate, t-shirts, hoodies, water bottles, and frozen treats. Don’t forget to add your tuck money to the registration fee. Back To Top.

10. Is there internet access?

11. Is there phone access?

14. What kind of meals/snacks do we get?

We offer a wide variety of well balanced meals which vary according to age groups. We usually have fruit or vegetables for snacks. Back To Top.

16. Can I stay with my friends in the cabins?

21. Can you accommodate kids with allergies, special diets, or special needs?

Yes, absolutely. Please make sure you let us know what we should expect before you arrive. Back To Top.

22. In what ways are parents able to be in contact with children?

23. Can my kid call home?

Sure, as long as it’s been organized to happen beforehand, or if the counselor deems it necessary under the circumstances. Back To Top.

24. Can I call my kid?

You can if you’d like to. However, we usually advise that you don’t, just to help campers get the most out of their camping experience. Back To Top.

25. Is there financial aid for kids/families who can't afford to come?

26. Can I volunteer while my child is at camp?

Yes. We always welcome volunteers, although sometimes having your parents being at camp can be a little distracting for the kids. Back To Top.

27. What happens if my child is homesick?

We will do our best to take the camper’s mind off of it. In extreme situations, we will allow campers to call home with the help of our staff. Back To Top.

About The Staff

28. Are there background checks done on the staff?

Staff are required to provide three character references as well as a completed police check form. Additionally, staff are required to read and sign our Code of Conduct indicating their agreement with the rules and regulation of Camp Evergreen. 29. Is there emergency personnel on staff?

During the summer months, we have a nurse/medic on site at all times. This person is trained in First Aid and CPR. Back To Top.

30. What is the staff to camper ratio?

The average staff to camper ratio is 1 to 4. Back To Top.

31. How many staff are on-site?

32. Is this a religious camp?

33. Do I have to belong to a church to come to camp? Can my child come if he is not religious?

You don't have to belong to a church, and you can come even if you're not religious. Campers from all walks of life are welcome. Back To Top.

36. Is there wheelchair access?
