About PUSH
PUSH yourself in your relationship with God and your relationships with others. Discover your passions and learn to use them to impact your world.
Camp Evergreen's PUSH program is an intense one- or two-week work experience and personal growth program, designed for young people who want to be pushed in their relationship with God and their relationships with others. PUSH focuses on discipleship and embracing a passion to serve God and serve others. PUSH participants will discover their heart for service, have lots of practice working in team, and they'll have lots of fun, too!
Campers, PUSH is a chance to grow in your relationship with Jesus Christ. You'll get a taste of different areas of camping ministry. You and your team will undertake intense team building activities. You'll clean the bathrooms, vacuum the dining hall and clear brush. You'll go to chapel, play jug 'n jog and hang out in the tuck shop. You'll mop the bootrooms, serve meals and get to know the dish pit ... but the water fights have to wait (at least until you're out of the kitchen). Through sessions and devos with your leaders, you'll have the chance to grow as a Christ-like team player and to take a look at your passions and interests and how you can use them to impact your world. Sound like a lot of work? No worries. There will be plenty of horsing around ... even if the horses vote to stay at the barn.
PUSH participants may be eligible for school credits through the Calgary Board of Education's (CBE) Summer Off Campus Program, which gives high school students the opportunity to earn up to five (5) credits in Career Internship. Students enrolled in any high school in Alberta who are at least 15 years of age may be eligible to earn credits.
To register for PUSH, please submit an online application. Once we've received your initial application, we'll email you with a secondary - but essential - application that includes questions about you, your faith and what you're looking for in the PUSH program. You'll also need to find some folks who know you well and can fill out reference forms. Your spot in PUSH will not be confirmed until we've received the completed secondary application.
