ABOUT Sparks

Will you be entering grade one, two, or three this fall? Then Sparks camp is for you!

You'll get to spend three nights and four days making new friends, playing games, singing songs and doing activities, including the climbing wall, pony rides, canoeing, archery, and much, much more. We'll find time to Yodel 'n Hum (that means singing silly songs with crazy actions around the campfire) and we'll introduce you to Jug 'n Jog, everyone's favourite Camp Evergreen wide game! Sparks camp is a VERY fun half week ... it's a great introduction to summer camp, without being too much time away from home!

Sparks campers have the opportunity to try out many of our activity areas*, together with their cabinmates! Here's a sample schedule from last year ... your schedule probably won't look exactly like this, but it gives you a pretty good idea of what your days will look like!

Breakfast
(Yum, yum!)
Blue Cows
(There are blue cows at Camp Evergreen!? ... Oh, right, "Blue Cows" is Evergreen slang for morning chapel! Sing some fun songs with your cabinmates and listen to stories from our Chapel Coordinator.)
Activity Time
(Travel with your cabinmates to hit all the big activities.)
Fine Frenzy
(Time for some crazy games on the field ... parachutes, anyone? How about some Knights, Riders, Princesses?)
Lunch
(Oooooh, tasty!)
Snooza Snooza
(Or storytime with your cabin leader ... it depends how much energy you have after running around during Fine Frenzy!)
Activity
(You hit the climbing wall in the morning, so now it's time to move on to the canoe pond.)
Tuck
(Choose your two items from our well stocked tuck shop and pump that energy level for the rest of the afternoon! Parents, tuck is included in your child's camp fee - please don't send money to camp with your child!)
Activity
(Okay, climbing wall? Check. Canoe pond? Check. Guess it's time for pony rides!)
SWAT
(Super wild activity time! Dress up for dinner with your cabin, play some more field games, decorate your cabin for bonus cabin clean up points ... the possibilities are endless.)
Dinner
(Sooooo good.)
Chapel
(Music! Sword drills! Crazy warm ups! And a fun speaker we've invited over just for you!)

* Please note that Sparks and Explorers campers do not use the Challenge Course or zip line due to age restrictions mandated by the Association for Challenge Course Technology.
