Semi-Pro Skills

\n \n

Trail Blazer campers get to choose two Se mi-Pro options that they will do throughout the we ek. They will get the chance to work on each Semi- Pro skill during the week. Trail Blazers can choos e between Horsemanship\, Mountain Biking\, Marksma nship\, Climbing\, Handcrafts\, Survival Skills\, Mad Science\, Canoeing\, Sports\, or High Ropes (p lease see below for an explanation of all of the s kills). Please see a description of all Semi-Pro Skills below. Pl ease note that some of the Semi-Pro Skills have an additional cost.

High Ropes - Our high and low challenge courses offer a variety of elements including an awesome 30 metre zipline . Participants will learn about safety equipment a s well as communication and teamwork as they help each other through exciting games and obstacles.

\n \n

< span style="font-size:14px\;">Mountain Biking - Practise your mountain biking skills on our Pump Track and obstacles. Th en ride some laps on our very own Mountain Bike Tr ail. You will learn about caring for your bike\, r iding technique and more!

\n \n < p class="western">Canoeing - L earn how to control and steer a canoe around the b ends of our pond using different strokes\, how to switch positions\, and avoid getting tipped.

\n \n

Climbing - Campers will challenge themselve s on our vertical wall and bouldering facilities u sing techniques taught by our experienced and cert ified staff. Participants will learn about the equ ipment that keeps them safe and how to use it corr ectly.

\n \n

< strong>Mad Sci ence - This skill is for those who love to build\, design\, tinker\, and d iscover. Campers will work together on a variety o f projects that could include dropping an egg and have it land without breaking\, building a bridge out of spaghetti\, or building a camping stove.

\n \n

Handcrafts - Our leaders love leading ca mpers in daily projects like hemp bracelets\, buil ding matchstick crosses\, and creative art project s.

\n \n

Horsemanshi p - Campers will be part nered with one of our friendly horses for two days where they will learn riding techniques and how t o look after these amazing animals. There is an additional charge for this skill.

\n \n

Marksmanship - Participants will learn how to sho ot at a variety of targets\, challenging themselve s by practicing with the opposite hand\, understan ding how to have precise aim\, and maintain equipm ent.

\n \n

Sports - Learn strategy and sportsmanship as you run\, jump\, shoot\, dunk\, block\, pass\, and sco re. Campers will play a variety of sports like soc cer\, volleyball\, basketball\, and the Evergreen classics like Jug '\;n'\; Jog and Willsonbal l.

Survival Sk ills - Survivor has NOTH ING on our Survival Skill campers. \; Learn ho w to start fires\, build shelters\, and how to kee p safe in the great outdoors. We'\;ll teach cam pers about their surroundings\, how to use a compa ss\, and what they need to survive if lost in the wilderness.
