Homecoming weekend will kick-off with Camp Evergreen’s Annual General Meeting at 10:00 a.m. Please note that there is a $20.00 Society fee for those attending the AGM.

In recognition of 60 years of Camp Evergreen, we are pleased to share our tentative schedule for our camp family reunion. Please note that some “Homecoming Weekend” features may be adjusted depending on weather, registration numbers, and availability:

June 10 – 11, 2023 (option to stay June 9)
 

Friday (Pre-Homecoming Arrivals):

7:30 p.m. Registration (for pre-homecoming registered arrivals only)

8:00 p.m. Informal Campfire

9:15 p.m. Snack & Social

Saturday (Homecoming Weekend Commences):

8:30 a.m. Breakfast (for Friday night arrivals only)

9:00 a.m. Senior’s Early-Bird Registration (optional)

9:30 a.m. Registration

10:00 a.m. Annual General Meeting

• Must be a Society member to attend.

• Memberships available for $20.00.

• Childcare provided for kids five and under.

• AGM will include a coffee break with mid-morning snack.

10:00 a.m. Open activities (for kids, youth and adults)

• Archery, canoeing, field games, and sports.
  Sign-up for activities will be available at camp.

12:30 p.m. Lunch

1:30 p.m. - 3:45 p.m. Open activities (for kids, youth and adults)

• Zipline, archery, canoeing, climbing wall, zipline, bazooka ball, petting zoo, etc.

• Sign-up for activities will be available at camp.

1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Moose Junction Open

2:30 p.m. “Mennonite Bake-Off”

• Bake-off will only proceed if sufficient number of pre-entrants.

3:00 p.m. Seniors Faspa Fellowship

• Will occur if weather is favourable.

4:00 p.m. “Jug and Jog”

5:00 p.m. Camp Staff Alumni Signing and Official Photograph (at the Fort)

5:30 p.m. Dinner

7:00 p.m. Baseball Game

Open Sports Activities

8:30 p.m. Homecoming Campfire

9:30 p.m. Snack and Social

11:00 p.m. “Midnight” Glow Canoeing

• Participants must meet at the top of the hill at 10:50 p.m. or at the shed for 11:00 p.m. sharp.

Sunday:

8:00 a.m. “Walt’s Walk” (prayer walk)

9:00 a.m. Breakfast

10:00 a.m. Homecoming Worship Service and Celebration of 60 Years of Camp Evergreen

11:20 a.m. Check-Out of Accommodations

12:00 p.m. Outdoor Homecoming BBQ

• BBQ will be held in the dining hall in the event of inclement weather.

12:45 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. Moose Junction Opens

1:00 p.m. Homecoming Concludes/Depart for Home

Cost: To help us cover the cost of food, there will be a $40/person (Age 5+) charge for the weekend. This includes Lunch & Supper on Saturday as well as Breakfast & Lunch on Sunday. Saturday Breakfast will be provided for those staying overnight on Friday night.

Overnight Accommodations: We’ve got lots of space if you wish to stay overnight on both Friday and Saturday night and we would love to have you. The options for accommodations are below:

• Large Cabins: ** ONLY SHARED CABINS AVAILABLE **

  • Large Cabin Shared: You can choose to share a cabin with another family if you like. These cabins have a centre sliding door that can create shared accommodations: two private rooms that contain one double bed and five single beds. If you prefer to share with a specific family please indicate that on your registration.

• Traditional Cabins: ** FULL **

• RV Site: ** FULL **

• Lodge Rooms: The second floor of our main lodge houses a number of dorm-style rooms with three sets of bunkbeds in each room (Sleeps 6). Washrooms with showers are located just down the hall.

Cost for Accommodations:

• Large Cabin Shared: $40/night (max. 6 adults, or 2 adults, 5 children)

• Lodge Room: $40/night (max. 6 people)
